Our Approach

Breathing problems require more than symptom control—they demand accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and ongoing monitoring. At ERH, our multidisciplinary care team collaborates with board-certified pulmonologists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff to deliver safe, timely, and personalized care.

Services may include:

• Inpatient pulmonary consultation and management

• Advanced imaging and diagnostic testing, including chest x-rays, CT scans, and laboratory testing

• Respiratory therapy, including nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and breathing exercises

• Medication management, including bronchodilators, corticosteroids, and antibiotics as appropriate

• Ongoing monitoring of oxygen levels, lung function, and response to treatment

Respiratory Therapy Support

Our Respiratory Therapy Department provides essential bedside care for inpatients experiencing breathing difficulties. Whether managing a chronic condition or treating an acute episode, our respiratory therapists offer:

• Pulmonary function evaluations

• Airway clearance techniques

• Ventilator management (as needed)

• Patient education on inhaler use, oxygen safety, and lifestyle strategies for managing respiratory illness

Continuity of Care

As you recover, we’ll coordinate with your primary care provider or outpatient specialist to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of treatment. If ongoing care is needed after discharge, our Case Management team will assist with referrals, follow-up appointments, and support services.
